Sunday School Ministry |
2009-2010 Sunday School Model
This year, our Sunday School program will be similar to how we do Vacation Bible School. At 9:45 all the students will start in the Fellowship Hall (right behind the Sanctuary), as the older students (6-12th grade) perform that day’s Bible story as a skit or puppet show. Then the pre-school children will go with their teacher to their classroom. The K-2nd grade students will stay in the Fellowship Hall for stories and activities that follow that day’s Bible story. The 3-5th grade students will go to the Christian Life Center (CLC) to do a craft project for that day. After about 15 minutes, these two groups will switch rooms to do the other activity. So, the K-2nd grade students will end Sunday School at 10:45 in the CLC, and the 3-5th grade students will end in the Fellowship Hall. While the younger students are doing activities, crafts and stories, the middle school students will be upstairs looking at the next week’s Bible story and preparing to perform it the next Sunday.
Bible Sunday at Zion
Sunday, September 20 at the 8:30am and 11:00am worship services will be Bible Day at Zion. We will have Bibles to be given to kindergarten and 3rd grade students. Zion will provide the Bible, and parents will place it in their child’s hands. We hope that every kindergarten and 3rd grade student will be able to be at one of the worship services that day to receive their Bible.
