It’s time to ... Play Ball !!! Church League Softball is open to everyone High School age and older. We will be playing on Monday Nights. Watch for a sign up sheet! Zion Women of the ELCA It seems early to talk about summer, as spring has not sprung yet. In fact, as I write this we are in a blizzard. But June is coming up and that is an exciting time for WELCA. Our convention is on June 6 & 7. Please plan on attending it if only for one day. There is so much information to get there. Beanie Babies are going to be collected to send to Honduras for the children who get vaccinations or dental work. So if you have some Beanies to share bring them or send them with someone who is going. The workshops sound so interesting, some include; Hunger in NE Minnesota, Homelessness, Personal Safety, Fruits of the Spirit, Global Warming, and others will address global and spiritual issues. Our keynote speaker is Mary Sam, who will speak on Justice and Boldness. There will be a silent auction of bazaar type items. It sounds great! There are registration forms in the narthex, call Fay Klande if you have any questions. You will learn and see how much WELCA does at home and around the world. So please plan on going to the convention and I will see you there. Be Bold! Arlene Rittmiller Don’t forget there will be a summer Bible study on the first Wednesday of each month at 9:15am at church. |
