Changes In The Office As announced at our Quarterly Meeting in September, after much study and work by the Personnel Committee and with the approval of the council, Zion is reorganizing the front office and the staffing of it. With Sylvia’s retirement as of December 16, our transition in the office officially begins. Please understand that as we go through this time, there will most likely be some glitches and some things that need to be adjusted. But we will do our best to make things go smoothly, and we ask for your help and your understanding during these adjustments. BEGINNING DECEMBER 19: Lori will be the person handling the office responsibilities she formally had as well as a few more. She will be working more hours each week so she can do the work that needs to be done. Office Hours will be Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (Wednesday - if there is a meal until 5:00pm) and Friday from 9:00am to 12:00Noon. There may be times, especially during lunch hours, when no one is available to answer the phones. Please use voicemail at that point, knowing that the staff member you are attempting to reach will return your call as soon as possible. Please recognize as well that there may be times (again, around the lunch hour or before 9 a.m.) when no one is in the office. The building will be open, but the office itself may be locked. We would love to have someone there all the time, but with fewer staff members, that will not always be possible! Finances will be handled by an outside company. The Implementation Committee is working out the final details with this organization, but they are familiar with church finances and how they work as well as what is needed by both the congregation and individual members. You should notice few changes, other than that the person doing our finances will not have an office in our building. We will keep you informed as we progress with other changes during this year. Please be patient as we go through this time. Changes are never easy, but let us move forward together to this new time as we continue to Serve Christ by Sharing God’s Love. |

Free Will Offering "Thank You" from To all who volunteered in any way to make this such a success. There were 60 agencies and service providers, and close to 120 volunteers who helped set up, clean up, bake cookies, serve meals, provided haircuts and photos – the list goes on and on. For these gifts of time and effort – thank you. Those who received a quilt were so excited; it was beautiful to see. The quilts were the most tangible show of love given to those who are struggling. This pure act of giving and receiving, brought tears to the eyes of both participants and volunteers – thank you. More than 400 people were given smiles of welcome. They returned those smiles with many thanks as they left! |
