Wedding Coordinators Needed

We are in need of a couple of people to work with couples getting married at Zion. Duties include helping them with the details of their wedding service, paperwork, the rehearsal and the wedding day itself. The wedding coordinators will be paid by the couples. If interested, call the church office, 326-8553.

Alternative Service

By now you are aware that the Alternative Service is in full swing, despite a few singer set-backs. We have a great array of instruments and musicians, but we are always looking for more so that when vacations happen we still have a band. We practice Mondays 6:30pm at Zion. We now have a drum set and a drummer but would love more guitars, electric or bass. We need you!

Yours in Christ’s service,
Sharon Vanous

Celebration of Ministry

10:00am
Fellowship Hall

THANK YOU ZION!

Zion’s 1st Annual Happy Fun Carnival raised over $650.00 for World Hunger. Thank you to everyone that helped with and participated in the fun we had at our carnival. It was a great way to raise money and spend a Sunday afternoon. Better practice up for next year’s dunk tank!

MS Walk

The MS is a way of raising money to help end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis through national research, programs and services, and public education. The pledges raised also help provide people living with MS the medical equipment, such as walkers, wheelchairs, canes and assistive devices, that make daily living easier. This year’s MS walk for the Itasca County area will be on Sunday, May 1, at the IRA Civic Center, with registration beginning at 11:00am.

Again this year’s walk will be sponsored by Christopher & Banks.

Would you like to find a cure for a loved one that may have MS or even that next door neighbor you may know with this disease? Would you like to take a nice peaceful Sunday afternoon stroll? Get a team together, arrange pledges (tax deductible), and come out and walk with those that deal with MS on a daily basis. Walkers can choose between a one or five mile walk starting and finishing at the IRA Civic Center. Check-in time starts at 11:00am, rain or shine. Participants will be provided with fully stocked rest stops, lunch, and entertainment. First aid and support vehicles will also be provided. An information booth will be on hand to talk to walkers about MS and the National MS Society.

I am asking the community to please show your support by joining us on Sunday, May 1, 2005. For more information on the Walk or MS you can visit www.themswalk.com. Brochures are also available at Christopher & Banks and various businesses throughout Itasca County. You may also contact Don Vidal, Itasca County MS Walk Coordinator, at 218-327-0148.
