August 25 - Service Team If you can help please Zion to Place Ad in Grand Rapids Movie Theaters! Starting August 17, Zion will have a 15 second advertisement placed before each movie, each day, for a year! We are encouraging our neighbors to join us as we serve Christ and love others. There will be several pictures of Zion activities shown. We are trying to seek out all those whose faces are recognizable in the pictures to ask if it is OK for them to be seen on a big screen promoting Zion. If, in principle, you do not wish to have you or your children shown in a Zion promotion, please tell the office. We give a big thanks to those who made special donations for this effort! |
Baptism Class A baptismal class for all who are planning a baptism at Zion will be held on
Saturday, September 11, at 10:30am and will last about 45 minutes. The class will
give parents an overview of baptism, what it is and what it means for them and
their child. Children and sponsors are welcome to come with the parents for the
class. All parents are expected to attend a class before their child is
baptized. The next class is scheduled for May. If you are planning to attend
please call the church office at 326-8553 and let us know that you will be
there. You can attend a baptism class anytime before a baptism, even before you
have chosen the date you would like for baptism, or even before your baby is
born!
Zion youth wants your old printer ink cartridges, toner cartridges and cell phones, laptops & IPods. The box is on the Welcome Center in the narthex. Thank You! "God Moment" "At Roy Street shelter a guy came in super angry because someone had taken his box and it had everything that he owned in it. The man was very angry and was almost violent. As people talked with him, he just broke down. As they reassured him that he still had his health and a place to stay and would be fed. He seemed to feel better, God was at work." Matt O’Fallon |
